Life is NOT a Cabaret!

Hi, everybody. (Big sigh)

Molly O'Mally here. (Even BIGGER sigh)

This year is NOT off to a good start. My big sister went to the Rainbow Bridge, the American Poetry Journal rejected my poem, and I'm up to my eyeballs in SNOW!

(As you can see, mommy and Hank aren't the least bit interested in listening to my tale of woe!)

I thought things were looking up when I received a lovely valentine from Salinger. He looked so dashing in his tie, and I just KNEW that single red rose was for ME! Then reality came crashing down upon me when Hank took me aside and said "Uh....I hate tuh tell ya this but Sal plays fer the home team!".

Sure, I'm a bit (okay, a LOT) older than Salinger but in my short-lived happiness I pictured us much like THIS match made in heaven......

I mean, wouldn't YOU agree???

Oh, well. Maybe I should give Pugsley a jingle and see if HE has any plans for Valentine's Day.

Oh Molly, you knows its hard for us 'senior' gals to find a pugger and I says finding a younger pup is a great ideas! I hopes ytu find a valentine, but Pugsley maybe not the right one, oks. ;)

Sorry Molly, I don't think you are Salinger's type. Maybe if you worked on growing another "appendage" there might be something there!

You are much too worldly to be someone's "beard" at your age anyway. Salinger can help you find some equally studly puggy who is into the whole CougarPug thing.

Try to have a Happy Valentine's Day ok?

Sorry Molly, I'm not laughing at you, really. Ya know, I kinda pictured you more of a Barbara Streisand type. I thought Liza was a dude anyways.

And about Pugsley, well I thought he, nevermind. Ask Hank about it.

Aww, Molly, you'll find your true love, never fear! Have a Happy Valentine's Day anyway! Sometimes it's about the love you give, and you're great at that!

Loved your post, Molly. Life sure isn't a cabaret. And it's been a tough year for you, so far. You know what that means: from now on things will turn for the best and that those losers over at the American Poetry Journal can't recognize talent when it hits them in the face.

Pancake loves your site! She practices reading it. Gets through 98 % of the words without help. Then she says, those people look funny Momma. What's wrong with that woman's face?

(turns out she meant person who was NOT Liza).

huggs to Molly!!

O'Mally you are cracking me up! I never thought I see Liza and David on a pug blog.

I know you had your heart set on Salinger, but I think I might be more your speed. I might be a little older and slower than other puggies, but I'm as sweet as can be!

Stubby xoxo

Oh Molly, love can be so disappointing....but you sure do have a sense of humor! We met Stubby today, and we do think he'd be a great PugBoyfriend for you. He is very gentlemanly. Hmmm, that reminds me of the website I think we should start to find a sweet guy for you!

Good Luck!

Oh dear Molly...and I thought it was sooo obvious. I'm glad Hank told you before you made a fool of yourself in front of Salinger and Pugsley. I do think Stubby would have made a better Valentine!

Molly Girl,
Momma was laughing at this post, but she is rude like that. Unrequited love is no laughing matter.

You are just too CUTE for all these guys! That's what it is! They are intimidated!
Stubby is one of my boyfriends and I will totes share him with you, k??
