Greetings from The Bridge

Becca Jo
November, 1996 - January 14, 2010

Hello, my dearest friends!

Can you feel the love tonight? I sure can!

I am no longer with you in this life but have started anew. After a brief illness, God called me to The Rainbow Bridge. What a relief it is to no longer be sick! I am running and playing and chasing squirrels! (Don't worry - I won't hurt them. I just like the chase!) I even got to sit on God's lap!!! And as you can see from the above photo, I have regained my youthful good looks and vigor!

I can't tell you what a JOY it is to see my old friends. King the Alaskan Malamute and Tam and Tiko the cats are here, and....wait........I think I see Winnie Wigglepants! I MUST go introduce myself!

Well, friends......there is plenty of work to be done here at the bridge (chasing squirrels, flushing birds, scents to track) so it's time for me to run - literally!

Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Hi Sweet Becca!
We're so sorry to hear that you crossed the bridge, but are glad that you're running and playing like a puppy again!

We're so glad that we got to meet you a few weeks ago before you crossed the bridge. We could tell that you had a nice long and happy life with your great family.

Have fun chasing the squirrels!

Dearest Becca,

Momma is all leaky, because like all of our humans, she (selfishly)wishes that you didn't have to leave us.

I get it though, Becca! Us dogs, we're not like our humans. We don't know how to feel sorry for ourselves, and we know that when our bodies here on earth fail us, there is something magical waiting on the other side.

I am so relieved that you have broken the chains of your old age and are free from pain. I really look forward to meeting you one day. I'm not NEAR as much of a pest as that Hanklin is, so gimme a chance, ok?? :)

Big hugs to your family. They are on my heart.

Love,
Pearl

We are so glad you are happy and vital over the bridge, Becca. It must be so comforting for your Mom and Dad and puggie siblings to know that you are back to your youthful self and having fun. You will be missed so much but we are all happy that you are happy. We look forward to meeting you when it's our turn to go to the bridge.

Dear Becca, despite the fact that pretty soon the keyboard will start to malfunction from Momma's tears, I wanted to wish you a wonderful new life. I love your realism and realization that we're on to something better and that sometimes leaving is for the best. Keep up the optimism, dear furiend, and we'll have our reunion when the time comes.

Hi Becca! I know your parents and siblings were so sad to see you go to the Bridge, but they are relieved you are without pain. To be youthful and full of vigor is indeed a gift.

Even though we didn't know each other long, I feel a kinship to you and your family. I know I'll see you one day on the Bridge, chasing squirrels and playing with all our friends. Until we meet, stay safe and watch over your family. They miss you and they love you.

Stubby xoxo

My mommy and I can harly see to write, so many tears. When we saw the title to this story, we were afraid to read.
But we are happy that you do not hurt anymore.
We are happy you are free.
Would you say hello to my sister Doodles if you see her,

hi Becca, mom was very sad to know you are not longer with your family but I assured mom that you are in peace and pain-free in the rainbow bridge now. I was almost there once, but I don't know how or why I came back to earth and it has been almost four years since then. I know we will get to meet one day, until then, receive big e-hugs and e-kisses from us!

Becca, I'm glad to hear you're running and playing and chasing once again. Crossing the bridge is probably hard on your family, so I'll send a bucket load of hugs to them, but you have no more worries, just good times and play until you get to see everyone again! *hugs*
